Business Cards: Still a Valuable, Viable Marketing Move?
Even with the dawning of the digital age, the profitable use of business cards is still in effect. More and more people are relying on the internet for goods, services, and information. But still, nothing works better than face to face honest communication. And that’s where business cards step in. There isn’t an online ad that works better than word of mouth and personal interaction advertising.
One good reason is that many businesses still qualify their leads based on handing out business cards. Companies that offer discounts on their cards often are in lieu with other businesses who place them on their shop counters. This procures business for both companies. As a customer you still can find better deals in print paper ads and on business cards than you can online sometimes. People still respect and receive business cards.
The key to keeping the “old fashion way of doing business” alive is to step up your design. Make your business cards pop, or look sleek and more professional depending on your industry. Give the recipient a reason to keep your card on their desk or in their Rolodex. Make them want to pass it on to others. Take that old way of advertising and modernize it to fit your company, or yourself for that matter. One thing is clear, business cards are not a dying breed of promotion, just one that you can improve on.
